Saint Athanasius the Apostolic
St. Athanasius, the great champion of the Faith was born at Alexandria of Christian parents. Educated under the eye of the Coptic scholars, he made great progress in learning and virtue.
In 325, he assisted his Bishop at the Council of Nicaea and was later elected Patriarch of Alexandria in 326. He defended the Church against the Arian heresy.
