Today, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order #156 increasing the 25% indoor service cap from 50 persons to 100. Please be advised that this weekend’s services will reflect the increase to 100 people. The church is still obligated to have registration for notification purposes if needed. As in the past, you will receive an email inviting you to specific services.

We will now start cycling everyone, while maintaining the 50 people maximum capacity. We will do this by celebrating two back-to-back Divine Liturgies on Saturday and two on Sunday, based on a first reply/first accommodate basis. The whole family is to be registered for one liturgy only. We will continue to do private services for those with special circumstances.

Houses of worship were permitted to resume services, but only in stages and subject to the CDC recommendations concerning facemasks and social distancing protocols. St. Mary & St. Athanasius Church wishes to celebrate the Class of 2020! There will be a socially-distanced, drive-in Graduation Ceremony for the graduates and their families tomorrow, Sunday, June 7th from 2:00PM – 4:00PM. The ceremony will be live streamed for all others, and can be viewed from the church website.

As the Governor follows his plan to re-open New Jersey, we will conduct a pre-registration questionnaire so that when official church services resume we will be ready to conduct services according to the guidelines and conditions Governor Murphy sets.
